Church Planting
The Diocese of Christ Our Hope is committed to church planting because we believe it is inseparably connected to the Great Commission: making disciples of all nations.
Recruiting. We pray that the Lord will continue to call new leaders to the vocation of church planting. Our diocese offers robust systems, resources, and support to help church planters faithfully pursue this work.
Assessment. Leaders who are discerning a call to church planting complete a thorough assessment process. Church planting requires both an individual sense of call and the affirmation of the diocese. Upon successfully completing the assessment, a leader is recognized as an official Church Planter of the Diocese of Christ Our Hope and is eligible for deployment to this ministry.
Training. We equip and support our planters with specialized church-planting training before they launch their work. The Diocese of Christ Our Hope proudly partners with Always Forward, the church-planting initiative of the Anglican Church in North America, to identify, resource, and support our church planters.
Deployment. The Diocese of Christ Our Hope sends church planters into the field with financial support, coaching, and other systems designed to help both the planter and the new community of faith flourish. We provide funding through a Ministry Partner Grant and require each planter to work with a Church Planting Coach throughout the grant period.
Church Planting Reaches New and Diverse Peoples
The New Testament shows that, as the early Church pursued the Great Commission, it planted churches wherever God opened a door. Through this work, the gospel spread across the world. Our mission remains the same today. We pray that God will bless our church-planting efforts and bring the gospel to bear in the communities that need it most.
