Anglican Diocese of Christ Our Hope

Pilgrimages

The Diocese of Christ Our Hope is partnering with Footstep Ministries, an international tour ministry since 1982, in offering pilgrimages throughout the world led by DCOH ministers.

Bishop Paul Donison will be leading a pilgrimage through England, May 30 – June 9, 2027, learning about Monarchs, Missionaries, and Monastics in England.

Bishop Alan and his wife, Angela Kaye, will be leading a pilgrimage, “Walking in the Footsteps of the Apostle Paul – A Journey to Greece & Turkey“, September 19 – October 1, 2027.

AYM Abroad: El Camino pilgrimage is seven walking days from Sarria to Santiago, with the landscape and spiritual theme connected each day and the Daily Office woven into the walking rhythm. The trip is a total of 10 days, including travel days.

The Sarria-to-Santiago section is approximately 115 km / 71 miles and the route walks through countrysides of oak woods, pasture, stone villages, rivers, and rolling hills. Departing from the states Monday, June 21, 2027 and returning to the states Wednesday, July 1 2027. The cost is expected to be around $4,500 per person, but students will be encouraged to fundraise to help offset the amount.

The rhythm each day stays intentionally simple:

Morning Prayer → walk in silence → Noonday Prayer → walk/community → Evening Prayer → shared dinner → Compline

The trip will intentionally be a smaller and more intimate group, and will only be taking 12-15 people. Therefore, not everyone who is interested may be accommodated. Please contact melissa@anglicanyouthministry.org if interested.
