The Anchor Fund supports the ongoing operations of the Diocese of Christ Our Hope and enables us to expand our support for the churches and people in its care. Strengthening the Anchor Fund enables our diocese to go deeper and bigger—to train more people for Gospel ministry, to support church plants and missions in new ways, to care for established parishes—and so much more.
The Diocese of Christ Our Hope contains 35 parishes and 7 church plants. We currently give 50% of our budget toward mission expansion in our geographic footprint, which stretches from New Hampshire to North Carolina to Kentucky.
We support over 120 clergy within the Diocese and aggressively train future leaders for our diocese and the wider Anglican Communion. In 2022 we have over 50 ordinands in discernment and confirmed more than 75 men, women, and teens.
We take calculated risks so that more people can hear and respond to the Gospel. This includes planting new churches, growing existing parishes, and ministering to those in need in our communities. Since 2014, we have, on average, planted two new churches annually.
