Bishop Coadjutor Elect

Bishop Coadjutor-Elect Rev. Alan Hawkins

In August of 2020 we embarked on a journey, guided by the Holy Spirit, to find the next Bishop Ordinary of the Diocese of Christ Our Hope. As often happens in the Anglican Church, this person will serve for some time as Bishop Coadjutor, the next bishop who will eventually lead our diocese, but overlapping in partnership with Bp. Breedlove as he completes his ministry as Bishop Ordinary.  Nine months later, we are grateful to God for his guidance and provision throughout this process, and it is with great joy that we now announce the Rev. Canon Alan Hawkins as our Bishop Coadjutor-elect.

On June 17, 2021, Rev. Hawkins was confirmed by the College of Bishops of the ACNA as the Bishop Coadjutor of the Diocese of Christ Our Hope. His consecration as Bishop Coadjutor is being planned for November 5, 2021 as part of our annual Convocation & Synod.

O God, by your grace you have called us in this Diocese to be a good and godly fellowship of faith. Bless our Bishops, Steve and Quigg, our Bishop-elect Alan, and all the clergy and people of our diocese. Grant that your Word may be truly preached and truly heard, your Sacraments faithfully administered and faithfully received. By your Spirit, fashion our lives according to the example of your Son, and grant that we may show the power of your love to all among whom we live; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
