Are you a leader? If you have clicked this far, you probably are. Women's leadership takes many forms: clergy, church staff, ministry leader, spouse of clergy, small group leader or host, church team leader, and informal leadership too.
The Women's Leadership Development Initiative promotes the full expression of the Imago Dei across lay and ordained leadership by identifying, equipping, and supporting women leaders throughout the Diocese of Christ Our Hope.
We are excited to have Jessie Meriwether sharing with us on our upcoming Quarterly Call! All ladies of the diocese are invited to join us on zoom to hear from Jessie, hear more about this diocesan initiative, and spend time connecting with other women in breakout groups.
Jessie Meriwether serves as the Executive Director at Church of the Redeemer in Greensboro, NC, overseeing all things operations, finance, HR and property management. She has a M.A. in Nonprofit Management from High Point University, and has been on staff at Church of the Redeemer since 2012.
With a passion for equipping organizations for effective, efficient work she also offers consulting services for other nonprofit organizations and churches, desiring to see the flourishing of communities and the expansion of God’s kingdom. In addition to helping with the Women’s Leadership Development Initiative, she is also involved in assisting with several other diocesan groups - the Senior Administrators group and the Ministry Grants working group. She also currently serves on the boards of Anglican Youth Ministries and Friends of Gahini.
She has been married to her wonderful husband Chris for 15 years, and they have 3 children - Everest (9), Eden (7) and Hazel (4). When not working or spending time with family, you can find her reading a good book or organizing something!
Our goal is to equip women for leadership in its many forms. We host regular on-line calls for current and future women leaders of our diocese. These calls often include an encouragement, a particular leader’s story and thoughts on how God has called her to lead, small group break-out time for discussion, and prayer. They are meant to help connect the women of our geographically disparate diocese together for encouragement, edification, and the building of relationships.
The Women's Leadership Development Initiative is led by lay and ordained women from across the diocese.
We'd love to hear form you!
Thanks for connecting with us! A member of our team will reach out to you soon.
