Understanding Allegations & The Latest in ACNA

The Epiphany

by Matt Foster on January 06, 2026

Epiphany is the season for remembering the revelation of Christ to the Nations, beginning with the wise men coming from the East. Today, approximately one-fourth of the world’s population lives and dies within Frontier People Groups. Frontier People Groups are the most unreached of the unreached peoples, having fewer than one Chistian per thousand people (<0.1%). Frontier People Groups add up to a heart breaking two-billion people.[1] That means cross-cultural Christian witness, from everyone to everywhere, is a vital part of God’s work through the Church—someone from an outside culture must go to Frontier Peoples because there is little or no witness within those cultures. This Epiphany, we can join with workers, agencies, and partner churches in praying for the Frontier Peoples of the World.

At this link[2], you can find resources for use during Epiphany and World Mission Sunday (February 8, 2026). You will find visual resources for a Global Mission Table such as infographics and maps[3]. You will also find resources that can be used during worship such as videos, an ACNA approved global mission liturgy, and prayer resources such as the “Litany for Missions”.[4]

Finally, An Anglican Introduction to Missions (AIM)[5] is a curriculum of six, forty-five-minute lessons that can be used in small groups to support your church with biblical, historical, and practical foundations for global mission participation.[6]

Over the next several weeks of Epiphany, the diocese will be sending testimonies and Epiphany reflections from cross-cultural workers from around the world connected to the Diocese of Christ Our Hope.

For so the Lord has commanded us, saying, “‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’”  Acts 13:4
