Speaker

Rt. Rev. Tim Davies will teach from Song of Solomon on the theme "Captivated by Love."

About Bishop Tim of the Anglican Mission in England (AMiE)

Bishop Tim, married Tanya on April Fools’ Day 1989. They have four grown up children (Bethan, Anna, Rebekah, and Caleb), three sons-in-law (Grant, Riley, and Elliot), and three grandchildren. Tim was born and brought up in East Africa and much of his life revolved around that part of the world into his early twenties. A Christian family serving the Lord in an African context is where he came to faith in the Lord Jesus.

Following work in business and industry (mainly in the motor industry), Tim has served churches in a variety of settings in rural Oxfordshire and in Sheffield. He was the founding minister at Christ Church Central in 2003 and has served in that role ever since.

In 2022, Tim was consecrated as a Bishop and served as an Assistant Bishop with the AMiE diocese, supporting the previous Diocesan Bishop, Rt Rev’d Andy Lines. Following Bishop Andy stepping down from this role in March 2025 (in order to focus more fully on his other responsibilities as Presiding Bishop of the Anglican Network in Europe and Diocesan Bishop of the Anglican Convocation in Europe), Bishop Tim has been serving as Acting Diocesan Bishop.
