Brian+ is a recently retired rector (September 2022) after thirty-five years of priestly ministry (most recently as Founding Pastor of Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church, Norfolk, VA). Brian+ is currently serving (part-time) as Canon for Clergy Care, Diocese of Christ Our Hope, ACNA. 

Brian+ is passionate about the care and nurturing of clergy and ordinands, both through pastoral mentoring and Spiritual Direction. If we can nurture and encourage the leaders of the church ‘to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord’ (that is, to live as we were created to live, in the way we were created to live it), then they can model and teach this way of life to those under their care. 

His deepest conviction is that we are not to ‘live in the world for God’, but ‘to live in God for the world.”  It is in Spiritual Direction that the distinction between these two ‘ways of life’ is most clearly seen, experienced, and embraced.
